This unique massage has been handed down through generations to balance the body and restore vitality.  Working on clearing the energy lines, boosting circulation and easing tension with deep palm compression are fundamental techniques.  A warming oil is smoothed onto the body and traditional movements used to complete each area.  This is a powerful massage that will leave you uplifted and recharged and is an effective way to release stress.

Balinese Boreh
‘Boreh’ is a village remedy from rice farmers in Bali, it has been handed down through the generations and is recognised as traditional medicine.  It is believed to help warm the body, relieve aching joints and sore muscles as well as help to relieve headaches.  The history is that the hand-crushed spices would be applied on the legs after a day’s work of standing in the water tending the rice.  The synergistic effects of the boreh ingredients will revive tired and stressed vascular conditions.

Javanese Lulur
‘Lulur’ is a traditional beauty ritual from the royal palaces of Central Java.  It is famous for the beautifying and softening benefits for the skin.  Traditionally a bride receives a Lulur every day for forty days prior to the marriage celebrations to lighten, soften and sweeten the skin.  Additionally the women in the family honour this as a time to nurture and prepare the bride to be, for her new husband and family.  In present times the lulur is still used each day of the week before the wedding day.  This is the most popular monthly skin care and papering treatment in Indonesia, and not only for women.

Coconut Scrub
‘Scrub’ is a modern term used to describe cleansing, or exfoliating the skin.  In Asian traditions scrubbing the skin is common, especially amongst women, it is recognised that a vigorous scrub softens, stimulates then cleanses the skin, giving it a lighter look.  Prior to modern soaps and cleansing agents, women would use sandalwood powder, blends of local herbs and plants as natural astringents.  Coconut scrub is exactly this, made up of a combination of mung bean powder, dried coconut, mixed spices and lavender essential oil.  The benefits are exfoliation, improvement in the blood circulation and lymph system, softening the skin, improvement in the texture and a soothing effect.
